The Calypsoed concept was born in 2019. The organisers entrusted us with the full production of the event. We were happy and committed to work on this project as if it were our own. It all starts with the headliner, which sets the pitch of the event and the general feel. The Travellers, a very popular local band who made waves by bringing Maltese songs back on the radios, was roped in.
The weeks in the run up to the event were super work-intensive. We worked on the stage light and sound design, the layout of the entire location, power distribution, sanitary facilities, crowd control and all the bits and bobs needed to deliver a successful event that meets all safety criteria.
GroveStreet Band, a newcomer to the local music scene, played a fantastic gig.
